Question:  I note that the 38G is now 600 pounds heavier.  How's it fly?

Answer:  check out AvA tonite, it's enabled there, together with the pretty version of the B25.

You can definately feel the difference.  Much more like the J when it gets slow.  Stalls quicker, not nearly as nimble.

Gonna take some getting used to.  I'm afraid it's not the furballer it was, but hey, it's still my baby so I'll have to learn to die differently :)

Took it up a few times tonight.. definitely need to watch yourself more when slow, fought 5 1v1's and was still flyin' only to auger it when I tried to split-S from "sufficient" alt onto the tail of a spit16.  Interesting side effect that I'm curious about more.. the extra weight, she seemed to dive better, pick up more speed an retain it... I stayed 800-1000 back from a temp tonight for quite awhile after diving onto his tail as be took off in the opposite direction.

Can't just pull the stick into your belly and go 'round 'n 'round wit the bad guys anymore, really curious to try and get a feel for it in the next couple weeks.  does seem to fly more like the J now just w/out WEP and less performance in the vert.

I still maintain that the extra weight is not to factory spec but instead to account for the industrial strength margarita blenders and mounting hardware installed on all 80th's 38G's.   With any luck this is just the first step in HTC loosening up their policy on field mods being included in the game.

Lack of WEP is a real hinderance now.  But it does slightly accelerate a little more quickly in a dive.
