EDIT: Shoulda typed EWA in title, not sure if it will let me edit it.
The question of whether B-25s would be enabled in the EW came up on knit country channel last night. I said probably not, as they were a '43 plane, to which somebody replied with some uncalled for crack about me. Then I think Widewing or somebody else came on and replied they were 1942 planes.
Having recalled this (after forgetting it) I did some checking. I was right that the strafer versions didn't show up til '43. The first 12 strafers weren't finished until Feb of '43. It took longer to actually have a decent number of them.
So, the question of being enabled in the EWA:
The early glass-nosed model was available in early-to-mid '42, but let's face it the majority you're going to see there are the solid nose versions HOing everything they can and shooting up towns with their 50cals.
If there were a way to limit the guns packages available in an arena, I say go for it.
However, considering that the majority are going to be using the solid nose rather than level bombing with it (which is what it was doing in 1942) I think it's a bad idea to enable it in EWA.
It would be like if the C202 and 205 were in the same option in the hangar but with different loadout options. Enabling it in the EW would give you the 202, but also the later 205 (because it's the same hangar choice).
My $0.02. Other thoughts?
