very nice pics Jappa. I like pic #2 the most, how the spitfire is inside the formation.

Here's my tribute to formation flying.

actually i used a tool called "clone" I right clicked on the lead Pony, held left button down and "pasted" it behind and to the side of the lead pony. If you look closly the one P51, first one to the right of the lead plane, its tail wasn't fully cloned and was cut off a little bit. I didn't notice this until i posted on here, but it was just a small part.

I would love to see a formation of pony's flying at 5K this good in the MA for no reason at all, but for the beauty of it.

Nice ones Kermit :aok

Awww man! What a juicy formation! I would've loved to be the 190-A8 at 30 K diving on top of the formation and in one strafing run trim off 10 bomber's wings.

Some how I always end up escorting and never attacking big formations like this.  Every time a con dove in on this flight I wished I was in his shoes! :D

Nice pictures Kermit and Latrobe thanks for posting.

those bomber shots are great! i really love big bomber missions.

here in the middle of this poster is my favorite formation shot, 71 sqn on patrol in f6fs.

formations are sweet, yet often suicidal :) takes great teamwork to fly a proper formation and employ tactics that work.

Not to try and Hijack the post, but my favorite Cutthroat (Squaddies)formation of Ponies is this one:

MiG is Lead, and I am the trailing plane behind MiG in the formation. CapnMike and Area51 (A51) were left and right an I don't recall which position they were flying.

I liked it enough that it's a background image for one of my websites. :D
Not retouched, just pure HTC stuff. (screenshot in film)

Didn't remember I still had this view....here ya go-same formation as above from my cockpit. I recall the film actually looking much like a real formation even when we rolled out to hit our targets...it was a memorable thing. Our timing was on that day. Each plane rolled to the left and dove in on the target. The delay was a "1 potato"  "2 potato"  "execute"  type of thing.
