i suggest the poor man's porcelain veneers.  Go to Home Depot and buy a little bottle of white porcelain touch-up paint for kitchen sinks.  This provides a supernaturally white smile, like Gary Busey.

If you apply it to only the 4 front teefs, you may want to mix in a little Harvest Gold with the white to match your other teefs.

I quit smiling in 1994 so I don't bother with worrying about white teeth.

I did read the article.  Near the bottom, I found this (bolded for emphasis):

I am so sure that the custom tray is so necessary that I even developed a way for people to make their own trays in the comfort of their own homes.  The product is called AllureSmile and I received a patent for this technique.  Look for it soon on TV.  Actually, it’s available now at my  office or on the internet by going to my website AllSmilesNow.com.

Not saying he is lying, because I don't know; but this little tidbit compromises his objectivity just a bit, wouldn't you say?

Perhaps, but if you google, you'll find this as a common theme on consumer websites:

"All the reviewers and experts we found agree that professional teeth whitening -- though expensive -- is the most effective and convenient way to brighten your smile. The ADA recommends these methods as well, saying it's preferable to have your tooth-whitening process supervised by a dentist"

Toothpaste whiteners=ripoff
Professionally whitened=best bang for buck.

I've been using Listerine's whitening rinse, slow and undramatic effect but I'm not unsatisfied with the results over the last few months.
