bigger government.
vast amounts of over spending.
rights diminished.
closed door secretive government that doesn't trust it's people.
corporate interests overtaking the peoples interests.

that's which way weve gone.
this thread is doomed.

I don't know about the weapons but I wonder what part of the boat that was...cool pic. I had to go back to it a dozen times since yesterday before it struck me the way it did the last time. It actually works better small than full page, you don't get distracted by all the details.

The only visual clue was the wiring harness coming through the wood pannel. It looked like something you'd find on a boat, a small boat.  I did boats for a few years, bass boats. Built up two of them and worked on a few of my friends boats.

I just knew it was part of a boat.  It felt like it.

And... he is correct.    It started with FDR mainly... LBJ gave it a giant boot and then the klinton machine got it really going... now.. the republicans are getting into the game with patriot act and that sort of thing.

I guess it is just the price we have to pay... We get the government we deserve.. and a bunch of whiny socialists wanting bigger and bigger government are gonna get their way no matter what party is in power.

Different flavor to lost rights with each power but no party restores what the other took... not in any meaningful way.. they just add their own version of diminished rights.

All the while we sit and smugly give more and more power to them because... that year... it is "our" guy... never realizing the next guy will use it to bite us in the butt.

We smugly vote and/or condone rights being taken from others because we don't care about that right or.... we just don't like that "type" or... we think we can save money by nannying a group... or.. we are just the type who like to tell people what they can't do.

And the government is more than happy to oblige... to take the power.
