I know I can crash anything but it's beyond me why the film viewer keeps crashing about 30 seconds in to films.

I made some more try with the Film Viewer. It doesn't crash with every movie, only with the ones I recorded with v. 2.110, the ones I recorded with previous versions run ok.

Does this happen to you all, too?

Thanks for your input guys.  This bug has been fixed and will be in the next patch.  Unfortunately, films done since the release of 2.11 and before this fix is out will always crash the viewer.

Is the fixed view supposed to be actually "fixed" instead of plane relative like it used to be?  Or am I missing something here?

Ouch! :(

EDIT: No way of preventing this? Not even using a previous version of Film Viewer, with multiple installations?

I'm no 'Techno' guy so I need a little help. Am I to understand that all the films made for the last...... well forever, are now unwatchable? (except for the first 30 sec or so) :(

No - Sudz writes that films before 2.11 is not part of the problem.

The Alt R will start the recording but it just might crash while recording.
