well, atleast it was semi-justified.  He could have been suspended for drawing a laser gun or playing cops and robbers  (two cases that have occured recently)

what a wimpy looking board.  our junior high principle had a board that was twice as long, wide, thick and had holes drilled in it, (was told it was to decrease wind resistance while it was being delivered to the target area.)

It stung but it wouldnt permanently cripple you...

Instant expulsion at many KISD & HISD high schools. One of my younger training partners had to get a talking to from a counseler because he showed up with a fat lip.... that he got from MMA class seperate from the school.

School disciplinary action is weird, to say the least.

Get in a little fist fight at school, and instant suspension, but get a few school buses pulled over by the cops on a field trip, and you're good to go.

How old's the kid, anyway?

I think my youngest got suspended once a year from about the 6th through the 10th grade for fighting. When I was kid there was no suspension for fighting, just a paddling. Likely would have been a lot more fights if we got a 1-3 day vacation for fighting.

Times have changed and not for the better. School vouchers will happen.

I applaud you for disciplining your child and not trying to find a way to excuse his behavior.  My Dad was a high school assistant principal for 13 years.  The minority of parents would apologize and promise to punish the kid.  The majority seemed to feel raising their kids was the school system's job, not theirs.

Should happen.  I'm not certain that they are a sure thing quite yet.

That's a suspendable offense?  Atleast he was actually in the bathroom, he could have pee'd in the trash can in the classroom

LOL ~ shouldn't have suspended him ~ should have given him after school detention for the day... with the duty of cleaning the bathroom! LOL

Unless you want your kid tossing garbage cans into the back of a truck for a career, he better sit down and actually try to learn something.  A high school diploma is good for about $8.50 an hour these days.
