Having thrown in my two cents, I'd suggest you do what YOU want. After all, if you get 5 AHers together, you'll get 6 hardcore opinions....You'll flat out go nuts trying to run things by popular vote, and the votes would probably either get skewed by the ranters, or hacked anyway!

I think this is a Great idea.

I doubt any music can be fed or sanctioned by HTC because of copyrights. HTC is a business. That is complicated even more because players are located around the world. Even current commercial internet radio sites based in the US are being forced to block users from non-US IP addresses because copyright and royalties are locally administered.

Of course, I don't speak for HTC. Nice idea, but I don't see much chance of it happening.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. The music, news, and advertisements of the time are fascinating things to listen to.

68TAZZ  first I would like to = S = you for trying to do something nice for all of us. Thank you sir and I think that it would be kind of fun to have this feature added. A breathe of fresh air sir would definetly be appreciated. I hope you get the b backing that you need to launch this idea of yours.

I'm with Sim, 1940's big band stuff played while flying gets so immersive its spooky.  Add in air raids, damage reports, in the same theme and I think you'd have a winner.

Cool idea but Rolex maybe right I think.  Plus, how much bandwidth would it use and would it slow the game down?

I have done internet radio for a long long time and have a good knowledge on what it takes to do it. So depending on the Feedback i Might have it up by this weekend for People to give a listen. I can set it to use minimum bandwidth and is capable of being listened to with most all players out there winamp, windows media, real Player, jukebox, Musicmatch etc etc

Yes yes yes yes...I always have difficulty deciding what to listen to while I fly, this would solve that!!!!

1) agreed...period music SOMETIMES could be very enjoyable. could even do the special events announcements in the stuyle of 1940's reporters.

I don't think 68TAZZ was talking about an "HTC Radio". From what I get, it would be more along the line of an internet radio station like "live 365". He would make his own station, and formate it with the info and music he wanted. As for copy right stuff, he doesn't have to mention anything about HTC, but I don't see where haveing free "advertizing" would be a problem with HTC. A call the HTC's offices might be a good idea, but even with out HTC's blessings it could still happen.

As far as band width, I use Live 365 at work all the time and have never noticed any problems, and most of my work involves sending a receiving data from the home office.
