Yep, ever since it was first introduced in 1999 folks have been asking for droptanks on the Macchis!

I just did some quick keyword searches and pulled up examples.

One of the earliest (right after C2 released!):

Uhm, I wouldnt hold my breath for that, mate. AFAIK the drop tanks, from what we see in the pics, were field modifications made mostly in later stages of the war.

Same thing for a graphic rework of the two Macchi's. AH2 badly need it. Macchi's cockpits seem to belong to a 1999, or earlier, flight sim.
