any chance that when u grab a base that wins the war..that base stays yours? after many re-fuels and kills time in the air..i couldnt land them because we were too deep behind enemy lines.w/only 5 minutes to land it was all for nothing. not too mention it was a perk ride.lost my points after all that on top of it. thank you.

if you are in the air when reset happens, the sortie is rendered moot.

you don't get credit for the kills, but you also don't loose any perks if you in a perk ride.

w/5 kills..2 towns killed, in an F4C..i lost 17 perks. it was also a part of a dictch. was a town there but on map it didnt say whos it was. nothing shot at me on landing.i dont know. but doesnt seem right you take the base..win the war and are trapped behind lines.

Next time just fly around until the reset happens. If you're in a C hog or 262 it's simply a matter of waiting for the reset to happen. You'll keep your points and all will be happy. Ditching before the reset happens is just that as you learned...a ditch.

Just as Lute said the sortie is thrown out and you'll keep your points.

Yea it used to be like that..I dunno why it changed, because it is BS. When Rooks reset the map I think it was in orange this morning. I was the guy that captured the maproom, with my m3.

What was my reward? The base reset after the capture then the ack killed my m3.

If you die prior to the automatic reset you'll lose your points and be credited with a death/ditch/landing. The good news is if you are in fact killed by ack at the field you just reset...you don't really die. You get to live and post about it here on the BBs.
