All the Camels and SE's going down in flames, just another film which changes history in order to make it entertaining.
IIRC Von Richtofen, like McCudden, scored the majority of his kills against two seaters (the RFC/RAF had a similar air doctrine to that on the land of just sending wave after wave of two seater aircraft over the lines, with the thinking that at least one will get back with the info) and only shot down 8 Camels, and 4 SE's amongst his ~80 kills. But i guess that wouldn't make as much as an interesting film?
Saying that... i will probably try to see it
They should have made a film about Werner Voss, he was probably the most gifted of the German aviators and his Triplane was cooler than the Red Baron's
In McCudden's words after his flight shot him down: "I shall never forget my admiration for that German pilot, who singlehanded fought seven of us for ten minutes and also put some bullets through all our machines. His flying was wonderful, his courage magnificent, and in my opinion he is the bravest German airman whom it has been my privilege to see fight."
