Compaq Evo problems

Anyone have any experience with problems getting AH to run on Compaq Evo's? I have one N1000c laptop and one SFF desktop. AH will not run on either machine.
By not run I mean will not even start. I get an error report but of course it means nothing to me. Neither of these are my "main" machine so it's far from being life threatening but it would still be nice to get one of them working.

Never mind, I got it.

Since these are both "business" machines neither had video drivers installed (using standard vga drivers).
Now I can play lawn dart on a laptop.
