To many a MA-er landing is over-rated (kinda like Michigan football)

I have parked on the big concrete pad in front of the hangars several times.  I've heard rumors of putting your plane in the AAA pit in town and it counting as a land rather than a ditch.

I've put down a disabled 262 at a friendly strat and landed successfully.

I was most pleased with that.
While you may have experienced that, on most maps, only hardtop at a friendly field is a sure thing.  I have been captured ditching on a friendly strat on the concrete.

Isn't that the truth :)

Who the heck cares!  No one dies.  Planes are free.

And I hate to break it to ya.  They aren't real planes and we aren't really flying WW2 fighters :)

I know, I know.  This is serious!

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Maybe if you land off the concrete but still within the base perimiter you should still get the landed successfully message, but get half the points and half the perk points.
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

I find getting home after a good fight to be just as fun as turning until I die.

I have no problem with that.  There are the few occasions where I'm not blown out of the sky that I rtb leaking, single engine, missing many parts and more often then not have to belly it in.

The satisfaction coming from controlling that wreck and getting it down.  It's never a question of whether where I land should or shouldn't get me points however.  That seems to be the bigger concern of the original poster.
