One person squads
« on: September 05, 2007, 02:12:25 PM »
I noticed there's quite a few squads that aren't squads at all. It seems a squad should consist of at least 3 members although I can understand 2 being a minimum because 2 guys could easily become 3 or 4 if they wanted. Two guy squads could be required to become at least 3 guy squads over a certain period of time to maintain a squad status. That Idea might not stick BUT........

ONE GUY IS NOT A SQUAD and all one guy squads should be taken off the roster IMO.

What do you think

It seems it would be easy to moderate and take little time.

Shoulda just asked , does 1 person constitute a squad or something.

Was with the Marine Air Wing from 98 to 02. Came back in June and found another base taking squad to fly with. Wasn't like riding a bike, thats for sure.

I say it doesn't hurt anyone and therefore doesn't matter to me.  Your opinion may vary.

I believe some pilots have one man squads to eliminate the constant hassle of being asked to join others while playing.  It does get annoying while trying to dogfight a bunch of popups keep blocking your vision.

Sneakin up on a La-7's tail, he has no idea you're there. Get close, 600, 400, 200! Ready and......."So and So would like you to join his sqd". :lol  That would suck.

Yep, that would suck

What we really need is a new dot command to stop that from happening.

someone said  .showjoin works only for gunner join requests, not squad pop ups.

What is your objection?  I don't see what harm it does.  Squads with only one current member are not counted in squad scores or ranking.
Always try and be the person your dog thinks you are.
