thanks for all the responses. I just haven't had a chance to try them all yet.
Just to clarify, I'm on a wireless router, no cable modem. My router is pluged into the wireless antena (from the ISP) up on the roof. When I type in 192.168.1.1 into the web browser to access the router, I get a page not found error.
However, I can surf the net etc, so I know the router is working and I'm connected to the wireless antena.
I don't remember changing the default IP, but stranger things have happened I guess. The house recieved a direct hit of lightning a couple of weeks ago, so, this issue may very well be a result of that hit.
Hopefully this weekend, I can get away from the wife and her to-do list to putz a little bit with this stuff. Thanks again!
