but having LVTa4 is cool but it doesnt lock onto target in range like cv guns that would be colol and jus like artillery with range in corner tellin u degrees and range :D

This would be nice as well, even better if one were to use a forward observer calling out range and effective fire. Those pics of artillery pieces above would be awesome to have in the game. Towed and self-propelled. ;) Having a anti-tank weapon (other than another tank) would just add to the fun and options of defense.

thank you all for agreeing yes Anit Armor gun behind M3 would be great to mount up on Tank Town Mt along with Artillery piece for ranging tanks :)

The dora would be able to shoot from one HQ to the other. Artillery would be a very nice add.

Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

Did they do that in WW2?  I know it was done in Vietnam.

 why not add option wing mount gun pods & rocket pods to
goons & sheep kidding  what about  grid overlay maps in the drop dwn menu with lon lat for F A C spotter arty? would be nice to see more  Gv fighting and activitys on the killin floor

we could just have an artillery emplacement at each base that can be used just like an ack gun using the shift w to have a forward observer say the coordinates or have them show up on text bar

I thought the arty system in Dawn of Aces was pretty cool.  Only certain planes (two seaters in DoA) could call in artillery from fixed bases.  First you'ld call for a spotting round, then you'd call in range and aszmuth corrections.  Once you got it spotted in, you'd call for barrage fire, again calling for corrections occationally to walk the barrages around the target.  In addition to fixed batteries (which can be destroyed, and are captured when the base they're tied to is captured), allow a player to spawn a six-gun battery of towed arty.  It would be a perked option, of course.
