no lazs I don't hire illegals.  these guys have FDLs SSNs and so forth furthermore since we provide product and services to the port of miami MIA FTL OPF port everglades the national hurricane center FIU UM and a plethora of other local state and federal bureaucracys myself and my guys must pass homeland security clearances and carry badges.

I did have one guy who was illegal and didn't know about but he had full documentation and had worked for me for about ten years.

just after the attack on 11 sep 2001 we were working at MIA and had been for some time but the sweeping changes brought about by 9/11 required us to submit for the clearances and obtain security badges.

the process involved presenting yourself to the OHS at the airport filling out the apps photos prints etc and then three days later to pick up your badge.  when we returned they arrested all of us and confiscated all my tools vehicles etc at the airport.  the employee in question was cuffed and I never saw him again even though he has an american wife with their children and owned his own home here.  they wanted to arrest me and keep my stuff but I'm very persuasive and common sense prevailed.

the fact that only one guy with otherwise very good documentation out of sixty at that time didn't make the cut probably helped a bit though.  he had a false SS card but his driver's license was valid and he was a good worker and a responsible guy as far as I was concerned and I was sorry to see him go.

but don't allow your preconceived notions and bigtory to change your outlook on people, I like you just the way you are.  I'll wager a month's profits that my guys have access to places to wouldn't be allowed in though.

you base your whole theory on the skillsets of illegals on..... ONE... employee?

I don't know how my observing the obvious hundreds of times a year makes me a bigot but if you say so... It will come as news to my mexican decent girlfriend and half mexican grand daughter tho.

Unless you live in a border state with mexico I doubt that you can see what is really happening.

I have always had good luck in dealing with Americans of mexican decent.   I simply aknowledge that there is a huge difference between them and the criminals who would sneak across the border and have no real skills.

The sad part is that people with real skills who come here from other countries are valuable assets and, for the most part, speak the language... they can't stay tho.. they are kicked out because they are easy to catch and they will obey the law...

The illegals are here because there is an employer base who is willing to have the taxpayers subsidize their getting slave labor.. and a public willing to accept any level of lack of craftsmanship.. the illegals do unskilled labor here and they do it under the table and they do it VERY badly... but with enthusiasm and a lot of elbow grease.

I do not mix up illegal with immigrant nor to I mix up working hard with doing good work.

Lazs, in your messages above, I've been left with the impression that you don't consider illegals fully human, that they're some type of "underman".  You cite low IQ (which would be physiological/genetic), inability to speak even their own language, whichever those are, and you talk about them being shiftless and lazy.

The only thing missing in your text above, frankly, is a phrenological analysis of the bumps on their heads.

What is the magical quality a border imbues on someone who has arrived in a country?  When the southwest wasn't part of the US and people drifted in from Baja and further south and so on, what was the element that made those people smart, hard working, and capable if not the magic of the border?

The current situation w/ illegal immigrants (invaders?) needs to be changed, and a "oh what the hell" policy that grants amnesty is probably not the answer, but I object to what I interpret as a dehumanization of people.

Just because a person is an illegal doesn't mean that he's suddenly inhuman.  Your messages in this thread seem to suggest otherwise.

no, it means they are a criminal. You know what "illegal" means, it means not legal.

Agreed, and that's what I was saying above.  Read Lazs's messages in this thread, you'd think he was describing vermin to be exterminated instead of criminals.

No chair...you need to read what I wrote not him.

There is a distinction between illegals and those who come here legally...  I would be more than willing to bet the you would find the IQ of the legal immigrant far surpasses that of the average illegal.

Most do not even read or write in their own language.  I am not dehumanizing any race.   If you had read what I said then you would see that I clearly distinguish between illegals and real immigrants.

It is like saying that I am dehumanizing criminals when I say that they, on average, have lower IQ's...  this is simply saying that.. criminal behavior attracts people of low skills and education and IQ.

we are talking uneducated people who are criminals and don't even have marketable skills in their  own country... put any face on that you like but it is just that simple...

Of course some do not fit the mold... some are genuine victims of circumstance doing the best that they can for their families and are bright and skilled people.. they are the exception tho.

I don't know why so many can't understand the difference between illegal alien criminal and lawful immigrant.

Are you saying that most of the illegals are not as I describe?   that they are the best mexico and central america has to offer?   that they can read and write in some language and that they are average or better in IQ?

That they are skilled in the use of modern equipment and tools?  Is the spectere... the mere hint that bigotry may be charged... is that so scary that you can't even see what is right in front of your nose?  much less... say it out loud?

Those guys sitting in front of the liquor store or drinking beer and littering at Home Depot... you really think they are bright and skilled?

Who would you say I was bigoted against?  dumb people?  criminals?   Do they have an organization?

maybe it is socialists?   I really do hate socialists and lump em all together... they are evil... course.. I do see them as a direct threat to my life and that of my families and that part is fine but..  I admit.. I do lump em all together.

I have found that You can't go too far off tho by simply hating every single one of em... I haven't found a good one yet so far as what they want to do to me and mine.
