When i first saw the picture i thought it was a Mossie tested with bristol engines, then i noticed the cannon as well as the glass nose and realised it was a completely different aircraft.

Tail is too bulbous for a Mossie too, Mossie is far more sleek.

Nine wings and eight Liberty engines.

According to Wiki it flew once on March 4, 1921, attained an altitude of 60 feet before crashing and going to the bottom.
