Kudos to Vultures!
« on: September 20, 2007, 11:54:00 AM »
Well,  last night a bad habit came back to bite me in the six (well actually shoot me).  When I first started AH, I did not know any better when it came to taking off at a capped airfield.  I must of felt invincible last night, because I tried it twice in a row and both times my Spit was scattered over the runway in little tiny pieces.  I was mildly angered at both of these so-called “vultures” for having the gall to shoot me on the runway.  Of course, a day later (common sense returned) I realized I would have peppered them in the same situation.  So with that said, I hereby issue KUDOS to all vultures.  You were in position to kill a low, slow & temporarily stupid pilot and you did so.  I would next expect a salute like a hard won  fight deserves, but certainly a <>.  Hey, I think I just came up with a new dot command idea!

meah, nothing wrong about a good vulching, just don't make them feel too good about themselves, no skill in landing 3 or 15 vulches, its like fish in a barrell.  still fun to do sometimes.

Vulching
« Reply #3 on: September 20, 2007, 12:05:46 PM »
Dang, nothing quite like a good vulch...particularly when they are upping big time.

Love to spray cannon and get about 4 in one burst, then scream down the runway, guns ablazing, smoking another 2 or 3 before pulling up and repeating.

That is funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.. .....    The only thing better is the threats on 200.... "If you let me up I will kill you all...." and so on.  Priceless.

Now I know the armchair elitists are hitting reply already.....They will tell you the 100 reasons "they" would never vulch...the honor, the glory, the BULL CRAP.    That's my favorite part.

This is a game.  If some moron(s) want to up and up at a capped field, bring it.

Likewise, I will continously try to up myself when capped....I LIKE IT.  I enjoy trying to break the vulch, just as I like trying to break a spawn camp.

Forgotten, but back in the game.  :)

It's called base suppression. :P
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

more fun is at rare times, with a cv close enoug to an airbase, get in the 8" and blast thier FH and VH. and laugh while noobs take off in bombers. grab a 110G and weeeeee. so many bombers to kill.

the best way to vulch would be to shoot them on the side. head on vulch is not recommended as they would fire on the runway, and some lucky bullet make you go boom. firing at the wing is not a good idea, as they would just skid down the runway and "landing sucessfully". from the side is the best angle as 95% of your rounds impact the fuselage. bombs and rockets is also a fun thing to do. and if you are damaged, bail out and use your .45. go "inside the plane" and shoot the pilot. laugh as they take off, blackout, and kill themselves.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I love to up from a CAPed field.  It's called busting the cap.

I also enjoy finding that one particular vulcher, let him get a few kills and rtb, follow him while I know he is low on ammo/fuel and vulch him while he is trying to land :)

Love trying to bust a cap.  Love to up a Zero and out turn almost everything.  I lose all the time but I always at least take one or two with me.  Long way to go to get killed.

There are a lot of dumb ones then. One trick Ive learned in those guns is never let anyone know your there until you have an easy vulch kill. Once the enemy fighters notice you your probably going to get blowed up.
