If you don't type anything in the text buffer, you should be able to hit "enter" and it'll go away.  Is that what you meant or were you talking about the text that scrolls during the game?

I think he is talking about something everyone has probably done at least once....Accidently bail out trying to clear the radio box.
If the cursor is blinking in the text box, just hit enter to clear it.

If the cursor is not blinking in the text box, you need to click your cursor in there with the mouse, then hit enter.

Remap your bail out key from ENTER to CONTROL-ENTER

Actually I use shift enter x 3 for bail.

No more accidental bails.

I was just taking off on a mission once with a bunch of other P51's and started typing.  I thought I opened the text box but didn't. So when I hit the "E" key I killed my engine and didn't notice, due to chatter, until I impacted the runway.:o

Heh.  Still have bail as default map here.  Only took a couple unintended bail outs for me to not do that anymore :)

I have more problems with getting those dying words in as I plummet, then the tower warp removes the cursor from the box, and an enter keystroke spawns you to the hanger.
