880 Squadron changing name
« on: September 21, 2007, 11:54:27 PM »
Just wanted to let the CMs and other COs know that 880 Fleet Air Arm will be changing it's name to 353rd Fighter Group.

That's it :)

Wow Bug.
The 880th is one of those "forever" squads. Very recognizable name.
Why the change?

I will be taking over for 880, and TheBug will be heading the new squad, the 353rdFG.

Might be a few weeks before 880 is ready to come back in, but it will be back. ;)

Just to add to what Warloc said the reason for the change had to do with many things but in a nutshell centered upon:  The squad becoming a majority of Americans, a new face to go with the big influx of new pilots and a change to spur on the health and energy of the squad.  Plus we are positioning for the release of Combat Tour next week. :)

But as Warloc mentioned 880 will live on(didn't want to mention that since I would be speaking in his place) and hopefully will be back very soon.

Good to hear on both ends.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
