That's the way I've seen it, and I've started switching countries fairly regularly the last week or so. I'm usually with the Knights, but if one team is really hurting for people when I log on, I switch to that team.

The dynamics of the teams and games change depending on who is up at any given time. I've seen the bishops work real well together one day, with near anarchy the next. Same with rooks and my very own knights.

Sometimes a call for help with result in immediate assistance, other times teammates are off on their own and won't respond. In fairness, it could be that they're in the middle of a bomb run, or doing something else they feel is equally important.

It's all on who's flying.

Same as with your own performance. I'm sure most are like me and find they can go up one hour and have their head handed to them on a platter and come back a couple hours later and really clean house.

I have found good people in all three countries.  I have been supported and given checks by all three countries.  

It is my first full tour and most likely i'll continue to switch between countries.

I started out with the bishops and found some really great players and learned a lot from them. Even the simplest calls for mutual help or request for a basic report on other fighter status over the town from the myriad of other bishop players there resulted in no more than a big “F” off or other wise comments.

This was just one example that to me, showed a lack of mutual cooperation that seemed par for the course most of the time I was in the game.

I was looking through the help section and came across switching countries. Anyway, I switched to the rooks and it seemed like a different world within 5 minutes. Plenty of mutual cooperation, talk on the radio and way more of a team/ esprit de corps structure.

Is this indicative of the make up of the teams, or was I just playing at off hours (6-9pm est) for the bishops?

I don’t mean to offend anyone (and my apologies upfront if I do) or ruffle feathers, but like I said as a noob my impression is night and day between the sides.

such is life there are good & bad people good n bad sports( hopefuly you were not trying to goon a base  or town before  ak ak or buildings were down ) as this new player thing happens/ and would annoy some to the point they wouldint help you  never les it isisnt right they cuss you out for not yet knowing the game yet i think i heard the situation wich you spoke of find your home with what ever helps you learn & get better  seek the good people & shoot down the rest  (SALUTE ) ya;)

For cooperative team play, join a squad.

You'll come across players who fly when you do and who fly like you want to fly.  Wing up with them.  Join them on their squad channel.  Join them for a few squad nights.  If they like you and you like them, join up.  

It's mostly coincidental that you'll find team play in the MA.  Maybe a couple of squads are cooperating on their squad nights.  Maybe someone is posting some good missions.  Don't expect someone to cover your goon if they're there for the furball.  Pre-arrange that you'll be covered.  That's usually the job of squaddies.

Team play doesn't have to be all about base capture.  4-6 squaddies working together can beat up most furballs.  Heck, 3 guys working together can feed off a furball all night with minimal loss of life.  Long range strat buff runs are usually all about goofiness on squad channel.  

So, find guys you like to fly with who fly when you do.  Join their squad.

                        I must say as a Bish I pretty much stayed to myself. Most of the porking Ive only seen on the dot dars, that, and I have seen numerous porking type references in the messg scroll. The few missions I flew with the Bishes were all pork and almost all the missions I saw posted were all pork. I never saw a real bomber mission put up, and the few I tried nobody was interested in them. I tried a bunch of times to get guys up in AR-234s but nobody would.

                    I have no interest in taking bombers up from frontline bases, going to 3,000', and dropping on a porked airbase. That absolute lowest I'll take even a medium bomber is 12,000'. I see the big bombers getting slaughtered all the time that low while porking, while Im sitting in a gunners position.

                 So I became a Rook full time. I took 26s thru a furball at 12,000' yesterday and got all kinds of help from fellow Rooks. I downed 4 bogeys and had a few chased away by Rook fighters. Apparently they are smart enough to know that its the bombers that deliver the tonnage.

               Mostly I stayed a Bish cause I was friends with a few guys. Overall Im glad I changed. If you ever need a good bomber stick send me a mssg, my game name is "bombrich". PS, I specialize in taking down radars. If you want radars down send me a message ,and if you see 4 or 5 of the frontline ones going down its probably me.
