Personally i'd be more impressed with the show if they did more to cover the great fighters of all sides and not primarily the allied victories

From what I've seen it's pretty straight up tactical dogfighting. I'm sorry the Americans have a higher percentage of overall victories. ;)

who wants to hear from a Cannon Spamming HO Pajama Wearing commie in a MiG?

that would be just as boring as the current crop. There are many interesting tactical fights that happened to planes other then ones with Ami markings

Dogfights of the Irag War. that sounds interesting. AWACS picked him up on takeoff and I spammed amraams in awacs mode til his dead

I have noticed the MiG drivers tend to spray and pray.

Sure. I wouldn't mind seeing a documentary on the history of the Norwegian 331 and 332 squadrons.

The History Channel owned by A&E Television Network, corporate offices Manhattan, NY, USA. I'm just guessing but they are probably programing for US viewers.

As much as I enjoyed them interviewing the pilots involved, good riddance.

I hate shows that come back from the commercial break and "re-cap" the previous segment for 10 minutes, then add 2 more minutes to the program, then another commerical.  Then the re-cap.  So you effectively have a 4 minute story stretched to 30 minutes or more.  All the shows with that "hunter" dude are the same way.

If they think they are adding dramatic effect, it aint working.

Good stories, just a bad means of telling them.

LOL they do a Rickenbacker show where he takes on 7 Germans  and gets MoH but is one done on the VC winner Billy Barker?

Did you see the episode on WW1 aired this season? They did a whole segment on Werner Voss. I think you should actually watch the show.

Hmmm..where did you get that information?  Americans having the higher percentage of overall victories?

Top US ace ww2.... Ira Bong, 40 victories
Top Luftwaffe ace...Erich Hartman 353 victories
(and at least 15 more with over 100 confirmed kills each)

Statistics dictate your logic is flawed, though your heart may be in the right place.  The allied airforces had numerical advantage, at least from late 1943 on,  not statistical kill advantage.

Don't apologize for greatness.  Don't apologize for saving Europe.

All that said, what got me into WWII aircraft was reading, in 1979, the book "Fly for Your Life".

It's the bio of Douglas Bader..... Brit pilot.

Many great fighters exist on all sides....  I trust that the Brits are producing shows about the Brits, the Germans about the Germans, and the Japanese about the Japanese.   No one HAS to show everyone.....good god.

Hey, maybe you and your country should start your own network and produce your own show. Take your best shot.
