AH sure has changed. To my guess, it's probably due to the increase in numbers. The "good old days", you could pick a base where only 1 or 2 cons were inbound and take off to fight them WW1 style. Much more opportunities for 1 vs 1.
The increase numbers brought "The Horde" with someone defending twisting and turning, HOing when possible trying to take as many as they can before they get shot down. On the other end, the attackers, with 5 or 6 guys rat racing to get the kill first, others cherry picking.
The behavior changed to you rarely ask anymore "are u ok", "u need help", you just come in to get your kill ... afterall, you flew from 10 minutes, the game owes you some action.
As far as the ch200 polution, sure is sad but I guess it's a reflection of our society anyway.
Yesterday I jumped on
DanoDano (109 G6) in my P47-D25, and ended up getting shot down. I was owned, and had the courtesie to send a "good job". Or fighting
Lucine's P51 in a Spit16. I shot him down, but he was all over me, and I survived only because I was in a Spit16. I have to give it to people like them, they didn't run their mouth insulting you, even if they owned you.
Then there's the
Skyrock type. Guys with obvious skills who live in AH xxx hours a day, but that cannot behave more than "You're a liar" ... "You jumped me" ... "You a dweeb" ... "with your 5 friends and I still own you". The poor guy doesn't bring anything to our comunauty except a bad vibe.
Fester used to be like Skyrock, but man did he came around. He is a prime exemple of someone who still display extensive fighting skills but gives so much back to our comunauty with tedious work on maps/skins/training cessions.
Oh well ... who cares anyway, AH is just a game not a life's achievement. My 2 cts on the matter
Moot.
