i hate people who HO me cuz they always have CANs and always get me, so i HO when they HO me first, i'll make the pass, turn if i can and see where they are, if they come by and HO me again, I keep going.. Is that so wrong. I normaly fly the F4U, and everyone knows they are not the best turn fighters, granted, I have out turned some spits before, but i'm still learning and not all that good with it, so yes, I dive down and run hoping to get away and get more alt then return for the fight... so I sure hope that isnt so wrong.

I'll usually accept the HO by putting a couple wing widths to the side and maybe a bit lower than the opponent. I get a great laugh out of the guys who go screaming past guns blazing when they have no chance of hitting me. I go a little lower on this kind of merge because every once in a while you get someone who's astute enough to throw in some rudder and get you with a sideslip if you are co-alt. I always think that's someone who's a better pilot than to be HO'ing anyway. Technically, that's not an HO though on their part but good flying.

On the subject of HO's though, If I've got three con's chasing me at less than d1000 and you decide to drop in from the front I'll go for the direct HO with a quick evasive at the last second because I've caused some killshots to happen that way, it's always funny as heck to see that happen. Thanks for clearing my six a bit for me!

The best is when the fight starts off as a 1v1.  1st guy  comes in guns blazing, gets reversed, and you chase him for 1/2 a sector.
  You turn tail, so he'll come back to fight and the same thing happens, but now you see plane number 2 dropping in.   What does he do.. the same as the first guy.   So now your chasing the 2nd guy, and the 1st guy is brave again.  SO you reverse them both and now your chasing 2 guys, only to have number 3 drop in and try the same HO and run move.  

After all said and done, you finally get into a crazy 3v1 on the deck getting pings in, and then it happens..  one of the 3 is nose in on you, and you still try to avoid the HO , but you get your engine shot out.    

Sometimes it takes 3 to HO, not 2. :lol

It only takes 1 to HO.   Two to merge, one to HO

What I hate is when there are 30 of us capping the field and I’m shooting the stupid dweebs as they spawn and take off and one of them actually gets off, turns 180 at stall speed and noses up to HO me!  That’s so unfair!  I mean, if I start with every advantage like numbers, alt and speed and they have virtually nothing they shouldn’t be able to turn the tables on me by doing something so low and lame as to HO.  Stupid cowards!

You said that you are still learning but all you describe is why and how you run.  So, what do you learn by running?

'Solor' does not need to teach you anything.  Maybe if you tried to turn with one you would know.  Its simple. Bank the plane to left or right and pull hard on the stick.  Thats how you turn :D
