Well, working with 109 as a gun platform is more than just landing hits. You really need to learn to judge your enemy's E state and what he is capable of doing and be there ahead of him. Unlike many of the other planes, you can't just push your head above the gunsight to pull lead. Learning to do it right in the 109, will make him better in whatever he choses to fly.

I just had a thrilling shootout with a guy named Traveler1 I think. He made some moves in a P-38 I didn't think the aircraft was capable of. Boy, talk about a "Dual at 14,000' ".

Overall there seems to be only two kinds of P-38 drivers. The "good" ones, and the "very good" ones. Its doesn't seem to be an aircraft that people learn on.

And its a very dangerous fighter against bombers. I feel fortunate surviving against them and the ones who fly them.

lazydog2
v8niktor
AKjrdog
traveler1

When we get to ten names, we invite them into the DA and set up a dueling tournament!  The winner gets a short film of himself and a weeks worth of admiration.  Objective being to get these newbie gangtwits to start wanting to learn how to fight.   :aok

I never worried about who the "Big dog's" were. Rather I just focused on my own game. Worked pretty well too as a matter of fact.
