Well, I think you're doing something wrong, ink. In fact, AH have nothing to do with the SST: you just have to configure a profile with the SST and load it in the Flight Controller (the profile loader that sits in your sys tray, lower right corner of the desktop), then you run AH.... if you give me your email address I'll send you my profile. ;)

As for the rotary wheels, you can configure them via SST to act like buttons: I use them for zooming of views and zooming of map. And, yes, the spring might feel a bit loose, but after a while you'll appreciate it, I'd take that washer away.

i have been using saitek since the begining.  i know how to set up profiles and such but   it seems like when i leave the sst programming running the stick dont work properly in AH. i have many other flight sims and all allow the running of the SST in back ground just not AH
But you know what i dont care really cuz AH is the best and i have learned to work around it:aok
that washer really helped alot as far as allowing to fire a little easier. and i need all the help in that department i can get.:cry
but thank ya non the less Gianlupo

Sorry, I didn't mean to patronize you! :)

It's just so odd that you can't make the SST work with AH... I never had any problem. I'm sure there's a way to solve yours.

Commands programmed inside AH over ride any SST input command programmed in your running profile. Im 100% programmed inside AH and do not use SST, one less process running.

Once you figure out how the SST programming works, its amazing.  I love it.
I use an X-52 Pro, I like the look of it and I've never had a problem with calibration, or rudders at all.
I've had it for... nearly 4 months now and have been a little rough on it at times but it still works beautifully. (BF series ***** sucks)

I mapped mine a little oddly, the primary trigger only fires MGs.  (Primarily 109 pilot here)  Safety/Fire button fires the cannon.  (Biggest problem I would have on my old Cyborg was accidentally wasting cannon ammo.)
Pinkie trigger prings up the clipboard.

Top left stick hat is Auto-Climb, Tail hook, Landing Gear, view-default.
Two little green buttons on the right side are Ch/Range vox. (If I could ever get my mic to work)
Black button is Ch. 6 call.

The 6 toggle switches on the base are set for my trim. The way they're setup on the stick is a pure God-send for a diving 109. (Dances and chants: No more lawn-darting for me, hey! No more lawn-darting for me hey!)

Throttle is of course, the throttle, center green button WEP.  Top green Auto-pilot.
Throttle hat is fuel selector, view-pan, flaps up/down.
(What do the pretty metal circle thingies do?)

Mode 1 is my 109 mode, this seperates MG/Cannons to their respective buttons, Mode 2 enables the pinkie trigger to bring up the clipboard, and Mode 3 is for flying things like Typhs, or FM2's, and such where I need all guns to fire from the same button.

Is it possible to marry one's flight controls?

Are you trying to say that you have some twisted (assuming you were not including rudder pedals) attraction to your joy stick? maybe you might consider seeking out some type of therapeutic aid in this matter (one consisting of large doses of strong prescription drugs as the core therapy tool would be preferable)

well just a thought

good luck with your delussions

From another post in Hardware.

<<2) On my system, the toe breaks have a smidge of acctuation on them. I can't get them to read 0 (zero).>>

So do mine but it has no affect on the game.  I did set the problem toe brake to always on unless I step on it to release for take offs. I have no problems landing except w the spit 16 for some reason. Gets wobbly

I do have a problem with my throt hat switch tho. One of the views is not activating. Ch told me to send it in and they'll fix it for nothing even without the warranty card but it will take 2 2.5 weeks to get back.

Think I can fix it by myself?

I've got the peds inverted btw. Kinda like driving a tank. I couldn't get used to it the other way.

Tell me if this is true as well. You can use old game port peds with new usb stuff rt.? I already know my old stick and throt won't work on XP which brings up another question. Are Ch Products compatible with vista? I remember hearing they were working on it. Guess i'll check the sight myself.

I use:

CH Combatstick
CH Pro Pedals
CH Pro Throttle
CH Quadrant

All combined into one virtual device, all attached via one USB hub.

Note: In 14 years, I have used the same gear (back when CH used serial ports and keyboard connectors) and have only had to refresh my setup one time - so, based on my experience, expect your CH stuff to last 7 years with heavy usage.

I have owned just about every stick out there (including a Cougar, which is collecting dust in my closet), and nothing can beat a full CH package. :aok

Note: Quadrant has limited use in Aces High - I use it mainly for MS Flight Sim X and IL2-1946.
