I hate to admit it but EW has helped me fight better in the LW arenas. The slow rides, and weak engines, have made managing my E state easier in the LW arenas. The planes are slow enough that I can see if I'm in a bad position, and correct it, or find an avenue to extend and re-engage with better position.
It's like fighting a Kung-Fu battle but everyone is using Tai-Chi. You have time to think about what you are doing, what your opponent is doing, and what your next move will be. That has helped me get an "instinct" for air combat. I'm not great, but I am better than I was 3 months ago.
I just wish the score dweebs, who roll over undefended bases, because the arena is so lightly populated, and they don't have to worry about getting shot down cause that would hurt their K/D ratio, would get stuffed. Seriously they are probably like: "Yea we did it." Sure you did, their are like 9 of you, against 2 from one side, and 1 from the other.
