Pirates of the Burning Sea - I'm playing the stress test now. Runs great on my 3 year old machine, and sounds like Sid Meier's Pirates online.
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

I still play Everquest. There are 13 expansions now and another coming in November. The next expansion is going to push the level max to 80 (ugh) so I will have 3 toons to level from 75 to 80.

Many things in EQ have been improved upon. Just recently a patch added new recipes to make two of the worst tradeskills (tailoring and blacksmithing) actually bearable to skill up.

Funny how until the other MMORPGs came out the EQ devs never listened to the player base but now they do.

No one has ever player U(ltima)O(nline)? I know thats my MMORPG choice. It's old but atleast you can play for free on the free severs, which in my opinion are better then the ones ran by EA.

I liked EQ2 ..graphics and team play were a blast.

I am currently in Vanguard on Sedrona server.. just that I dont burn hours and hours of time in it like I did DDO, EQ2, EQ1, UO, LoK, D&D.

Vanguard is akin to 'EQ3' ..another big jump in graphics, all the fun stuff is there.. you can solo or group all the way up in every class (so I hear, I have yet to get my 'main' past 25th lvl.. havin too much fun with 8 or so characters (as usual).

Unlike EQ2, you cant 'be' anything with any race .. wont find any dark elf paladins here :)

You can build boats, houses, guild halls, guild galleons, buncha quests for different stuff (I have still only done a few of the 20's stuff ..some purty cool toys ..bout halfway thru earning a Unicorn for my Dwarf Paladin)

An example of the graphics: My halfling bard carries his crossbow (different graphics for different xbows) and his two short swords.. when he swaps out to drum it shows that too, lotta different armor and bits variations.

The crafting is interlocking ..it takes a combination of characters to build a boat for example. A gem cutter to provide gems for enhancing weapons is kinda cool too :)

..when I am not flyin or cruisin :)

I tried Vanguard in the hope it would be like SWG and you can do whatever the hell you want. Instead it pegs you as a class from the beginning and My guy got to raze a village in the beginning, I am going around running around Pillaging and Slaughtering, leave the training area and it decides I want to have a quest for redemption from a buncha buddhist hippies? no thanks. Gimme a blaster or a gun and something that shoots.
