have to agree 100%.

was assigned scout duty. figured either it would be boring and uneventful or i would mess up and put myself in the wrong place at the wrong time and die a quick death but ended up with in a heck of a fight that could of only of happened in FSO. a 6 and half minute 51b vs 109g14 fight that had my blood pumping. didn't c but a few seconds of action after but from the chater on vox the rest of the squad had thier hands full for a good long time.

Had fun fight as well with a squirrely ending...

Got bounced and locked up with a 205 (squiggly?). He forced me off the buffs we were defending and down to the deck...finally got the E up to go on the offensive and we had a nice fight going....

And I'm 99% sure he just flew into the water...and I followed him. Literally couldnt make out any depth perception at all on "sea level"....ARGHHH

I am LOL here. I remember hearing Sqwig say he crashed, but I didn't know he was trying to do the same to everyone behind him!

I'm glad to hear you had fun. It sounds like everything I sent over to 39 was killed there before they could do much damage or was jumped along the way. ~~To the P47's at A34 right there near the end. I wish we could have sparred a bit longer but you had to go home.~~

JG11 pulled the straw for defense. I figured we had a 25% chance of being the odd man out. Luckily the 347th Fighter Wing gave us all we could handle with a low-level B-26 attack escorted by High 51's (are there any other type?).

They flattened the base and we joined most of the northern force in the tower in no time.

We took our share of them down, but not enough to make a difference.

S! to the 347th/68th ! You guys always seem to get the job done.

That was the 56th FG at a34 at the end. As I was calling the guys to head west for home, we had a 109 come in and hit the oil on Vonkost's plane.

We engaged just long enough to chase it back to the field, then I ordered our guys to break off and get home. I was worried about Vonkost's oil holding out and more enemy planes showing up. I knew more were being called in and the longer we screwed around the greater the chance of us getting overwhelmed.

VonKost did have to ditch halfway home, but the rest of us landed. Great fun all around.
