where does that rumour come from? :lol

i think what that article is pointing to thought btw, is the lack of NHS dentists, not dentists in general. all our healthcare is free here, but there are still private doctors, dentists etc.

i think the problem at the moment is that most dentists go private because the pay they can earn is so vastly superior than what they would earn via the government funded NHS, and those with little money can't afford a private dentist, and with so little of the good dentists staying with the NHS now (apparently), there's a long waiting list (well, like a week or something, yes we brits are whiney when we can't get things when we want them, lol) for free dental care...
