x-52 and bomb site
« on: October 12, 2007, 06:57:38 AM »
i have an x-52 and i set the slide on the throttle to zoom the view.works fine unless im in the bomb site.when im in the bomb site i have to move the slide then press [ or ] for the zoom to jump to the position the slide is in.

i press z, move slide to middle, press [ or ], zoom jumps to mid zoom.

makes it very hard to bomb from alt as it takes a little time to adjust the view.

is this a problem with my config or a bug?

NC,

I have an X52 and do similarly to you for my Bomb sight.

Below is how I perform Bomb Sight and Zoom functions.

POV 2   (Mode 1)
Push UP       (Bomb Sight)          (Bomb Sight View)
Push Right   (Calibration Mode)  (Bomb Sight Cal Mode)
Push Down  (Bomb Sight)          (Bomb Sight View)
Push Left     (Calibrate Sight)     (Calibrate Bomb Sight)

Throttle Hat  (Mode 1)
Push UP       (View Internal)
Push Right   (Zoom Toggle)   (Toggle Zoom in\Out)
(Zoom to Level made with Precision  Slide)
Push Down  (View External)
Push Left     (Zoom Toggle)

Precision Slide (Mode 1)
Push Up      (Zoom Out)    ( 80% to 100%) (Adjust during Zoom)
Centered    (No Action)  ( 20% to 80%)      (Rest place when not Adjusting)
Push Down (Zoom In)  (   0% to 20%)        (Adjust during Zoom)

When not adjusting the Zoom Level, the Zoom Level Adjustor should be set to a No Action Rest place to prevent unwanted changes.

Is it possible that you might not understand that each time you press Z ( The Zoom in\Out Toggle), that your view is Zoomed to the level that you have previously set with the Zoom Level Adjustment.

If not, I am not sure that I understand your problem.

If you would like any\or all of my X52 Bomber Profiles:
B-17
B-24
Lancaster III
B-25C
B-25H
C-47A

Send me an Email to Roche11@Verizon.net

Each Profile comes with a 5 Page Word Instruction Manual.

Sharing Profile development techniques can benifit us both.
