Serbs shot down an F-117 not a B-2. Considering that is the ONLY combat loss of a stealth aircraft out of several hundreds of combat missions over Bosnia, Iraq, Panama, and who knows were else, the odds are still WAY in favor of the plane, not the SAM.

As far as the "carpet" bombing from a B-2, they don't normally do that. That's more to illustrate the payload capacity of the plane. Considering those bombs are "dumb" 1000lbrs and the plane can carry the same amount of "smart" JDAM 1000lb weapons.....well I'd hate to be on the wrong end of the bomb run.

But again, let me know when the Russians have anything that can compete.

You trained to be an officer in the Russian Air Defense and you think a single B-2 can carpet bomb?

Stealth technology is one thing that Russia could not copy or reverse engineer from the U.S.  I'm sorry, it takes a free society with motivated individuals to produce the type of planes that the U.S. Airforce has.
