When you say it won't accept it do you mean it will not physically fit or that the board doesn't recognize it?  Also it may be helpful to know the MB size and number of sticks of the existing memory and the new memory.
From ECS website your board specs for memory are:

2 DDR DIMM Sockets and 2 DIMM sockets support (can not be used simultaneously)
Two 184-pin 2.5V DDR SDRAM (DDR266/DDR200) or
Two 168-pin 3.3V SDRAM (PC133/PC100)
Maximum: 2GB

Just make sure you are within the specs and unfortunately you may have to RMA that memory for something else.

Physically it will accept it. Im using the 184 pin, Originally it was kingston pc2700 and I went to crucial pc2700(2x512). The system won't recognize the new memory. I put the old memory back in and it recognized it. I've replaced memory before but never had this problem.

Notice that some MBs have restrictions for setting single and double sided RAMs. Some boards only accept one type at the time.
