Gentlemen,

here we go

http://parrots.de.nr/

if you like to agree with our rules

1. Everybody will provide maximum assistance best to his abilities, that will mainly apply towards newbees. A Parrot will never assault any player neither another Parrot nor a stranger in public. Differences of opinion will be dealt with in private (i.e. by e-mail) never in public. If a member of the Parrots is repeatedly attracting attention by means of inappropriate postings of insulting contents expulsion from the squadron might be a consequence
2. Every Parrot reports in via TeamSpeak in order to facilitate communication and coordination of raids in flight.
3. Raid paticipation is not mandatory, never the less, requests for participation are to be answered at all times.
4. The Parrots are normaly fly for the rooks.
5. Cheating or just the attempt of cheating will result in immediate and irrevocable expulsion of the person accused from the squadron. Enemy pilots rescuing themselves by means of parachute will not be attacked under any circumstances. Members of the Parrots refrain from any unfair methods.

and the fun of real Teamplay is one of your favourites then take a look on our roster

Go for the fun, be a parrot!

here we are located: http://www.frappr.com/parrots

So, if you want to become a Member of the famous >>>PARROTS<<< you have to be older than 21 Years, using Teamspeak, being able to talk english (phrases like dhy sixsix, break i am rolling in, con is down is good enough  )
over the years we are staying together, playing, laughing and having great fun all the time.

last time we have a great time fighting as a team vs other squadrons and we like the gentlemen style, being dangerous and deadly but we stays gentle and friendly, because we like to see it in a sportsmenship way. At least it a game for us, but a huge plattform where we meet friends!

Tomkin don't delay come sooner rather than later.

I've tried most online flight games except Warbirds (that one looked crappier than them all)

Aces High has the majority of players and only suffers outside of USA hours.

Having a bigger, stronger Euro base will mean having more intense fights during our time zones.

This genre is so unique I think getting everyone together in the same successful one (rather than spread between games that are only existing and not going forward) makes sense.

ROFL!

Bruv, the reason we parrots are moving from warbirds is purely numbers. It's got to the stage when we will log in during euro times to approx 30 players.  If it's a squad night, we'll arrive with 15 players and destroy the balanced gameplay.

In fact, one problem with AH2 several of us encountered is "arena full" messages!  The other big problem is our number of Mac players, AH2 doesn't work on Apple Mac and we have several players that are still working out solutions to that before they can join those of us that have decided to move.

I moved from FA for the very same reasons.

The arena CAP is every squads worst nightmare especially in our time zone.

The reasons for and against could write a novel, if you used the search function within these boards, i'll try and sum it up for you.

There used to be one big arena with a big cap 750.   HTC too many players logging in during prime time separated them into 2 with dynamic caps and smaller maps.

At 18:00 GMT or maybe 17:00 now we moved the clocks back???

The 200 player limit gets reduced to 120 in order to fill the second arena.

When the other reaches near 120/170 this pushes the other one too 220 etc and so on.

Many players would welcome back the old arena with the big maps but this is the way it is.

I don't know anything about macs so couldn't help there maybe a post in the hardware and software forum may help.

That's interesting, I noticed the arena numbers changing and didn't know why.  I know from organising the EMC's (that's a warbirds player organised event, much like the AH2 scenarios from what I know so far) that we had to be careful to ensure the plan didn't make too many players arrive at the same time at the same part of the sky.  Issues associated with lag and players computers not handling so many new planes (killing their framerate) were the concern there.

AH does do well to accommodate large amounts of players.

In the recent scenario we must have had about 40 bombers plus around 60-80 fighters all in the same bit of airspace.  The scenario as a whole ran at around 150 a side.

We have in the past posted big bomber missions in the MA's that have dropped frame rates but obviously the better your machine the less it will drop!

AH detail can obviously be played with.  If you havent got the greatest machine dont run the hi-res pack, turn off the skins, turn down the detail and distance sliders etc etc.

Sure its strange to see so many players here... When you jump in and see that you're already 270 on a capacity of 360... wow!!! Don't have any regrets for the moment about moving here. Sometimes distance from cons is way too important, but its finally more realistic with a massive air conflict.
