"HIGH FLIGHT"
by John Gillespie Magee

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

"There is always a small microcosm of people who need to explain away their suckage."

Aww geeze... :(

A memorial flight would be grand way for us to show respect for a fellow human and gamer we knew, or at least had met Mudf1y virtually.  Perhaps Youtube it, or post where the family can see this isn't just some silly kids game, and the respect his fellow 'flyers' have for him and each other.

Prayers to Mud's family from ours.

May the Lord watch over them in this, their time of grief.
May He show them that their loss was not in vain, however untimely.
May God continue to richly bless them in all ways.

He's a lover, not a fighter... but he's also a fighter, so don't get any ideas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRaTekm9Ak8  http://one_foggy.tripod.com/sounds/afu_jokeson.wav

Mudf1y.

Would anyone be interested in helping put together a memorial flight, if one already hasn't been planned?

BIG <> to mudf1y and his family. I hate DD's, one almost killed my ex husband and my best friend back in 1998, he was drunk and left a party and was on his way to another party when he came around the curve at 90 mph and my ex was doin 45, needless to say my ex and my best friend were both lucky, but the DD died on impact. it could have ended up like this.

Donkey, i would b happy to attend a memorial flight for mudf1y, no matter if you know someone or not, AH is still a community and like a really big family, we pull together when we are needed. please let me know when, i'm available later at night like after 10pm.

I would like to ask the community to keep his family and friends in mind during this time.

Mudf1y leaves behind his expecting wife (due in January), 2yo boy and many friends.
Mud you were a great and loyal squad mate, a good friend and your devotion to getting better at this game made your squad stronger and this community a better and more fun place to spend free time.

You will be missed.

Your friend and squaddie,

DocNess

to Mudf1y,,,,a life taken so early and a family in need. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. May god welcome a great gamer into heaven.
Let me do nothing to bring shame or disgrace on my family, my comrades, my unit, my country. Let me conduct myself in such a manner that there is no dishonor. Let me not be wasted, but if I die, let me die like a soldier should.
