And now we move to Sicily and Italy

The Italy map offers some special challenges to the staff (at least, to this staffer), but it's such a lovely work once it's set up that it's worth the effort.  We would be especially grateful if you would report any problems here.  Please also make an effort to discourage anyone who might be inclined to try to pork the map.

MARE NOSTRUM

Welcome to the sunny Mediterranean.

This setup is loosely placed in the late 1943
period.  Geographical ownership has been
adjusted to maximize the ability to run
different types of missions, as well as to
enable the usual AvA combat.  The focus is
on tactical combat, so there are no heavy
bombers.

Sounds like a decent setup.  Just out of curiosity, not a complaint, but wasn't the B25 used in the Mediterianion theatre as well as the B26 ?

Are ya'll going to go with the 2 week time frames now, as has been suggested ?  It seemed to work for the North African Campaign, with the plane changes the 2nd week.

Just a comment, not a complaint, but I felt the Allied side was a bit restrictive, plane choice wise, this past week.  Just for fun, and to get some experience, I flew the Axis birds all week.  I didn't do well, but had some fun in them.

Actually, it was all the ports.  My fault, but now fixed.
