If you are using a firewall, make certain sure you are not blocking session cookies for that page.

do the following.it dosent use a browser so will tell u if its a network issue.

start/run cmd
type ping www.squad BBS.com (www.squad BBS.com = url u carnt get to)

if u see results like the following then its ur pc.

Pinging www.squad BBS.com [159.153.235.27] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 159.153.235.27: bytes=32 time=120ms TTL=114
Reply from 159.153.235.27: bytes=32 time=373ms TTL=114
Reply from 159.153.235.27: bytes=32 time=128ms TTL=114
Reply from 159.153.235.27: bytes=32 time=143ms TTL=114

now if u get a result like below then its a internet problem which u can not do anything about unless u use a proxy server.

Pinging www.squad BBS.com [159.153.235.27] with 32 bytes of data:

request timed out.
request timed out.
request timed out.

i have a similer problem with a site i use in the usa and i have to use a proxy server to view the site.

basicly what this means is that i have to re-route my internet to australia then from there to the usa.

this works cuz u force ur connection to goto the proxy server 1st instead of directly to the web site u want.

there is another cmd tool that could tell u where the problem is. if its on ur isp's network then a phone call to them might be able to fix it.

start/run cmd

tracert http://www.squad BBS.com

u will see something like below.

1 16 ms 12 ms 14 ms ip68-98-148-1.dc.dc.cox.net [68.98.148.1]
  2 16 ms 13 ms 13 ms ip68-100-0-1.dc.dc.cox.net [68.100.0.1]
  3 20 ms 14 ms 14 ms ip68-100-0-137.dc.dc.cox.net [68.100.0.137]
  4 14 ms 10 ms 13 ms 68.1.1.4
  5 12 ms 23 ms 16 ms so-6-0-0.gar2.washington1.level3.net [67.29.170.1]
  6 18 ms 14 ms 14 ms ae-2-56.bbr2.washington1.level3.net [4.68.121.161]
  7 15 ms 20 ms 17 ms so-7-0-0.edge1.washington1.level3.net [209.244.11.14]
  8 15 ms 13 ms 13 ms cpr2-gigabitethernet2-2.virginiaequinix.savvis.net [208.173.52.73]
  9 21 ms 19 ms 21 ms dcr2-so-3-2-0.washington.savvis.net [206.24.238.217]
  10 88 ms 91 ms 91 ms dcr2-loopback.sanfranciscosfo.savvis.net [206.24.210.100]
  11 90 ms 86 ms 87 ms bhr1-pos-0-0.SantaClarasc8.savvis.net [208.172.156.198]
  12 88 ms 88 ms 87 ms bhr2-ge-2-0.SantaClarasc8.savvis.net [208.172.147.54]
  13 88 ms 89 ms 87 ms route-server.savvis.net [209.1.220.234]

if u get a request timed out in the 1st 3-5 lines then it might be ur isp.call them and explain what u have done.

to use a proxy server with IE:**
open IE
tools
internet options
connection (tab)
lan settings (tab)
put a tick in "use a proxy server for your lan"
i use the following server in australia
address = 165.228.128.11
port       = 80
keep ok'ing out of the options till u back in IE.
close the browser and open another then go to the page u cannot get to.

this should now work. the problems with proxy servers is that that can be VERY slow.

if this server dosent work try the below site.

Not if its your isp, as it will be on their network.............not on your puter as such.....sorry, cant think of anything from here, your ISP are responsible for their network....they should be able to at least take a look etc

my cable modem was 5 yrs old and last update CC no longer supported it.  the tcp protocol was not supported.  /else ck if ur firewall blocked program for some reason u may have to reinitialize it.

looking at the resuts i dont think its ur isp but the network after them.
the 1st 4 entry's have 66.gci.net in them, this means the 4 hops are on the same network. that should be ur isp's network..

it appears to be wvfiber.net on the next 3 ops. goto http://wvfiber.net/ theres a contact form on there they might be able to help u.

a computer shop will not be able to help as its the internet thats the problem and NOT ur pc.

im 99% sure thats its a DNS (domain name server)problem. what this is, is a file on the server that tells the server where to send the info next. the file should be updated regulaly, if it didnt or it got damaged and some info lost then it dosent no where to send the info to.typiclay this only happens for a few hours before its corrected but sometimes it can takes weeks.

it will sort it self out before long!!!!!!

this leaves only with the option of using a proxy server. did u try the instuctions listed in my previous post? and did they work?
