I find slight forward pressure on the stick seema to help . i lets the f4u drop off the deck before pulling into level flight. i've never struggled with lifing an f4 off the cv

You crack the throttle a tiny bit until you begin to roll backwards. This is fine if you land something else besides a carrier plane aboard. However, there's never any reason to back-up any aircraft that spawned on the CV. All CV aircraft, fully loaded, will get airborne without drama providing you use full flaps.
