Cow Falls Off Cliff, Crashes Onto Van on Highway

MANSON, Wash.  —  Charles and Linda Everson were driving back to their hotel when their minivan was struck by a falling object — a 600-pound cow.

The Eversons were unhurt but the cow, which had fallen off a cliff, had to be euthanized.

The year-old cow fell about 200 feet from the cliff and landed on the hood of the couple's minivan, causing heavy damage.

A Chelan County fire chief, Arnold Baker, said the couple missed being killed by a matter of inches in the accident Sunday on a highway near Manson.

The Eversons, visiting the area from their home in Westland, Mich., to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, were checked at Lake Chelan Community Hospital as a precaution.

Everson, 49, said he didn't see the cow falling and didn't know what happened until afterward.

He said he kept repeating: "I don't believe this. I don't believe this."
Must have been scary as heck though  :O
I don't know what to put here yet.

In my school there was a teacher who had part of his shoulder missing (you could see hollow spots on his clavicle).

He almost got killed by a bull's head that flew into his car's windshield when he was going at 60mph.

Apparently a loaded 18 wheeler hit the bull at high speed literally disentigrating the creature on impact and the head flipped upwards and landed on his car which was about 6 cars behind the 18 wheeler.

he always joked he was lucky it wasnt a cow because it was the horns that made the head 'bounce' off the rear end of his chair and up into the roof and off the car...if it had been a cow with no horns it would've splatted him against the rear seat.

crazy shtuff happens to people.  :P

Reminds me of the now debunked story of the Japanese trawler that was sunk by a cow having fallen from a Russian cargo plane.

I'm sure I heard of another falling cow story somewhere. Can't find a reference though. Someone must have mooooved it. Sorry couldn't resist.
