disagree about axer or dextur not being any good at multi plane engagements. they don't have uber stick and rudder skills and any duel dweeb can take them out in a turn fight easy but they do fly as a team and they have decent SA which in spite of any antics they may or may not be up to the fact remains... where one is the other is also.

they can defeat lonewulf pilots of any skill level by simple 2 vs 1 tactics if they have the initiative in the form of speed or altitude advantage. I think this fact alone makes a lot of the expert duel pilots dislike them.

but thats actual fighting. not to be confused with the score game. the scoring system is a minigame within Aces High. It can be used as a guide for tracking personal proficiency in air combat in a statistical manner or it can be a game unto itself for people who dream of being an accountant when their testicles drop.

using the score system for actual combat proficiency tracking can only be done by the player themselves for their own personal benefit. anyone else looking at someone elses score as a means of gauging their ability will not be able to discern from scores alone if they are good at SA, gunnery, and ACM or if they are good at playing the score game.

only key element of either aspect or usage of the score system is the player finds fun or enjoyment from this aspect of Aces High. but generally newer players gravitate towards the score system mini-game as it is easier to be proficient at having high rank than to be proficient in complex multiplane air combat. the older players simply already did the scorepotato thing and got bored with it and moved on to the realization that the fight is where its at. the bean counting isnt nearly as compelling after playing for years and years.

It aint hard considering I used up all my ammo under 3 minutes in the engagement

Yea but he has done it for 50 hours.. Not a sortie or two. That's a very big diffrence.

One of my kids is learning the game and isn't all that bad now . Certainly
has things to improve on , but dying virtual and going chicken after isn't
one of them .

My one criteria is never check score cause it don't mean anything
to anyone and puts limits on where and how he flys .

Most times no one knows who the red plane is or what his score is ,
hopefully yu kill it and move on to the next red plane .

This rule has allowed him to relax and have fun .

Anyone using a shades account is ded meat  against any decent
stick in the MA .

Cit says it best

Cant believe all the Drama seekers in here.  The man at the top must always dodge the barrage of stones cast his way. "My own quote". Let me start by saying, Im not trying to win a spelling or grammar contest. Im just going to speak my peace.
I am the account holder of AXER. My 15 year old son spends at least 50% of the time on AXER. We both Like to play and rarely let the other one have more than his share of time. My 14 year old son plays on Dextur 90% of time and from time to time you will catch me or Axjr on Dexturs account.
Anyway.... Like anyone cares. I Started back in the days of AOL airwarrior. 13 years ago. Then started playing Airwarrior , AW2, AW3, Aces High, War Birds and finaly Aces High 2. "AH2 = Airwarrior on Steroids" I just love it.. This game has the feel of the old school online, dogfighting games and is so so much better. I love it. Hats off to everyone involved in creating, updateing and constantly improving gameplay.. Dont care about what all of the critics have to say, this stuff rocks!!!
So anyway, Both my boys were exposed to this game at the age of 4 and 5. I taught them alot through the years and now they are teachng me. They both have more moves than I. But Im craftier, wiser and have much, much better situational awareness than both put together. My boys and I are very competitive by nature, and do more than play this game. Both of them play Basket ball, Soccer, and Wrestle. Axjr plays Football and Dextur went on a 3 year undefeated streak in wrestling. Dextur is the most competitive one of us and just hates to loose.
So anyway, they have played these combat online flight games around 10 years now and beleive me between the 3 of us, have worn out a dozen sticks or so. All 3 of us have the experience and love to win, we love to win the fight, battle, war and the scoreboards. None of us care to win by cheating or hacking or whatever a cheat does. That ruins the competitive nature of the game and would take the fun out of kicking the crud out of all you whiners!!  LMAO :)   Like I tell my boys, the only people you see complaining and whining are the guys losing the game. We refer to it as loosers limp. Making excuses why I cant win, why the other guy is winning.  Not saying any names but AH2 is full of guys that have a bad case of losers limp. Just because you may have losers limp doesnt mean I dont care for you, and just to show all the whiners out there that there is no hard feelings. Im going to give you all a helping hand. Go buy or check out from the Library "I suggest buying it" . The book "Fighter Combat" by Robert L. Shaw .   This Book helped me go from being a stick jerking turner into a real pilot with a few moves and a plan. I went from meager to pretty damn good in a short time, after reading this dog fight instruction book.

I dont allow Axjr and Dextur to trash talk or get into the drama of these BB's . So thats why all the Drama seekers with losers limp get to hear from their old man.

See you all again in the Skies of AH2 <> The Axeman
