It takes time getting use to the controller. I started slow. First with SOCOM on the PS2, it was third person, but it helped me work out the aiming issues with a controller. Now I find I am even better with a controller than I am with a keyboard and a mouse. Everything I need is right there, I do not have to move around the key board to change a weapon or open a door.
I love PC gaming, but the fact is, PC gaming is on the way out when it comes to shooters. There is nothing a PC can do that the next gen console can't do when it comes to shooters. I was able to pop my COD 4 disk in and play away. No server issues, no computer issues, nothing to install, no shortcuts to create, just start and go.
With the 360s ability to allow companies to patch their games, you always have easy updates available, no patches to download and install, or worse re-install, then patch like you have on some PCs. For me, the only reason to have a high end PC is for flight sims. Once you jump over the controller hurdle you will see how much better it is on this side.
