Condolences Finns.

This thread seems very tasteless given the situation.

I am quite disappointed in some of you, not that you'll likely give a damn.

Some people are just fanatics I am afraid, and some of them post here.

The shooter has died at hospital to a gun wound shot by himself at the scene. Too bad, I was hoping he'd survive severely brain damaged. Then again, better this way than have him live, get only a few years in jail, write a book and get rich.

Believe it or not, but he'd been probably sentenced only for 12-15 years in jail. Although he'd been probably dumped in the psycho ward for undetermined lenght of time.

All condolonces' to our Finnish friends, in this sad time. :(

Also, I pray that none of our Northern-most community had any children or relatives' of their own at that school, or if they were, that they are alright.

To everyone else, ask yourselves, did they behave the way some posters' here have, during the VT shootings, especially right afterwards? Do you like having something so serious, be treated so cavelierly? Have some respect, dweebs.

It was the first school shooting in Finland since 1989, when a 14-year-old student shot and killed two others in the coastal town of Rauma, the Finnish news agency STT reported.

Auvinen published a manifesto online demanding war on the "weak-minded masses" and pledged to die for his cause.  Watch Auvinen fire weapons in video from his Web page »

YouTube appeared to have removed 89 videos linked to his account, many of them featuring Nazi imagery, shortly after the incident.

Finnish media reported someone posted a message two weeks ago on the Web site, warning of a bloodbath at the school.

cavalier?

No, just wondering if Finland should eliminate private firearms ownership, or severely restrict it even more so, in light of this insane freaks mass murder/suicide attack.  Its a perfectly legitimate question that needs to be asked in light of this mass murder.

sorry arlo.  of course my heart goes out to these people, like it has gone out to thousands of people thousands of times before, and likely will again.  I have simply become desensitized to human cruelty.

Lets get straight to the question, thats my motto :D
