« on: November 06, 2007, 02:58:59 PM »
Hi

Am having a connection problem.  When I am online, after about 3 minutes the text bar reads "UDP Session switch to TCP" then I get "Host Connection Lost" message.

CPU is only 5 months old.  Dell E521
Athlon 64 x 3800=,
2GB Ram
256MB nvidia Geforce 7300LE TurboCache

Everything runs fine offline.  ATT high speed DSL.

Need some help please.

go get "pingplotter" its a free program (google it) install it, then typ in the address for the main game severs. ( the address can be found in the "stiky" post at the top of the Technical support thread..

Run ping plotter for 5-10 mins pinging the servers every few seconds. You are looking for a nice steady ping, under 200ms. If you have something else, post a screen shot of the ping plot and maybe one of the gurus here can help you track down the problem.

Please do as Fugitive has explained and post the results. The results will help us to see where a problem may be.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

If the computer is a dual-core AMD CPU, you might want to check this out.

If it is a dual-core AMD CPU running Vista, then simply set the compatibility mode of the game to run in "Windows 98/ME" compatibility mode.
