Antialiasing wont work
« on: November 09, 2007, 05:17:21 AM »
my nvidia driver gives options for antialiasing : Off , 2x , 2xQ , 4x , 4xS and App-controlled.

None of these give antialiasing in AH, although they have all worked fine in Americas Army, Enemy Territory etc. in the past. I usually set 2xQuintic because the quality is great and its not a big fps hit.

Any ideas folks?

We have no controls in the game dictating how a video does or does not do anti-aliasing.

Use the Nvidia Control Panel. You can set the 'program settings' for AH under "Manage 3D Settings" but when I did it I had to add the Aces High program and then make the changes. For some reason the standard aces high profile didnt take effect.

Are you setting the AA amount under the D3D settings or OpenGL settings? They need to be set for D3D for AH2

How did you "add" the Aces High Program".  I tried it before seeing this post, but I don't think it worked.

for some reason my nvidia control panel doesnt let me change my settings.

I downloaded a program called nhancer that saves profiles for different games which works a treat.  Gives all sorts of extra options that the normal nvidia one wouldn't.  Think i have it on 16x aa.

Right click on your desktop and choose Nvidia Control Panel. Set it to Advanced Settings. Choose Manage 3D Settings and then click on the Program Settings tab. You can find Aces High listed but the icon is the default blue/white. Click on the Add button and browse to the HTC folder and select the AcesHigh.exe program. Now you will have two Aces high programs listed. You can remove the original and modify the new one.
