Looks heavy. I wouldn't like to pull lots of G's with that thing attached to my head.

its not too heavy its made out of carbon fiber mostly. Some pilots are complaining about the green lights that hit them in the eyes. They say its a little to bright. It would be cool to have one plugged into my PC to play AH with along with that tracker IR   :aok

I'm not sure that I'd like to fly in that thing but I do know that the new generation of all glass cockpit fighters is all about one word.  INTEGRATION!

Integrating the computer that actually moves the control surfaces with the human that makes the decisions based on all the data that the computer receives from it's sensors.  


yes that's not an American flight suit but I'm not sure that makes a difference as last I heard there was like 50 some sub contractors from many different companys making parts for the thing.

Interesting that the US is refusing to release the software source code despite the UK's considerable financial and technical input into the design of the F-35.
