Just a question of curiosity, it's not really all that important just a point of interest for me.  If the contention always was that the FM-2 was there to represent the Buffalo and at the same time balance out the Hurri IIc wouldn't it make sense to either remove the Fm-2 or at bare minimum reduce it to the F4f if you are pulling out the Hurri IIc.

I am not complaining either way, I don't really fly in the AvA any more but still interested in the "business" of setting up that arena.  Especially one of its most popular planesets.

by looking at the lineup, why would you even need the Fm2, F4f, Hurri 1 or Hurri 2c?  the Fin's and Germans are very well supplied with plenty of plane type choices verses the very limited Russian lineup allowed........

I second this.  no need for those crutch rides especially when the german iron completely dominates the set up.  there is no contest to germans but for the very best of players in the russian rides.  I would say that u need to add the yak 9U at the very least or give them lend-lease P51Bs to boot.  it's just no fun shooting drones.

p51b has been added to A1...

I'll look at removing the fm2, and hurri i...  but i don't think they are getting used much anyway, ...  sometimes it's nice to have a little choice in the selections....

thats you and perhaps about 5 other players in AH that can type that and it be true.  most of the players are hopelessly outclassed in it.

Now let's not be hasty here!

Some of us love the Hurri I, and historically the Finns were actually using a few of them during this period.  It's quite effective against the P40, and, of course, it eats up the IIC.  No sadness that the IIC is gone, but does it hurt to leave the Hurri I?

I suspect that all but the most fanatic Brewster fans know that the Buffalo used by the Finns - hotrod Chevette that it might have been - wasn't up to FM2 performance standards.  It's been there to counter the Hurri IIC, and now it isn't needed for that.  The F4F would be more accurate, but I don't know if there's a nice Finn skin for the F4F, and it looks dumb to have planes with US or British markings flying over the Mannerheim Line.

This is still a great setup.  The Bolshevik planes take a little practice, but once you get used to them, the competitions are usually won by pilot skill, not plane performance.
