(Moderators, all Dutch references are translated, PLEASE do not delete my post....God Bless the Dutch People for adopting the graves of American Veterans...including my Great-Uncle....translations are inclided in ()'s)

For years I have tried to get information on my great Uncle, PFC 1st Class Talmadge Albee Bullard, 27th Infantry, Mississippi, who died in Duren, Germany after liberating southern Holland, and buried in  Margraten, Holland.

In Aces High, our brother "Roost" privided me with information I could give my great-aunt that her husband's grave was in good hands.

Dutch families "adopt" graves of allied troops who died liberating Holland.

This year, my uncle's grave was adopeded by a Dutch family.

DANK U NEDERLANDS!

(Thank you Holland!)

God Bless the people of the Netherlands!

The Dutch People are the BEST for taking care of our heroes who gave their lives to liberate and defend Holland.

My Uncle was a hero.

My hat is off and my heart is with the people of the Netherlands.

BTW:  "ROOST" was VERY KEY in my getting with Dutch authorities in contacting the family who is taking care of my uncle's grave.

To Roost... <> my brother.  I cannot wait to visit my uncle's grave, meet his adoptive family, and meet you. The Heineken, mackerel, cheese, and dinner are on me.  Roost....my great aunt, who I will meet for the first time soon was very happy that her husband's grave is in loving hands, thanks to you.

God Bless Nederlands!

(God Bless Holland)

Dank U Nederlands!

(Thank you Holland)

Dank U Roost.

(Thank you Roost)

Thank you brother Roost!

Wilhelmus van Nassau!

(National Anthem of Holland)

The Beluim people are also very helpful and thankful of american troops liberting there country in World War II. I was over in Geilkruchen Germany. My unit deployed 2 jets to help train some crews on refueling missions. This is a Nato base and has people coming and going. Well we got to go a visit Belguim and some the sites there of WWII. And we stopped in a large cementary where alot of American troops were buried in this country. God I never seen so many white crosses other than the cementary in Luxberg with total of German and American / Allies was 72,000 troops passed away during one battle. Any way we where able to find a co workers great great uncle in this cementary. They had an automate way of finding allied soliders buried in Belguim. He and his family were also happy to find there love ones past uncle.

Happy Veterans day - < S > GGhost :aok

"One look at some of these cementaries just kind of changes a person. I think more Americans should visit these sites to take in the whole battle fields / war and the whole diasters of World War II."
