Maybe I should have been a little more specific. I agree with the above post. I beleive the taps should be for info gathering only not admissable in courts. Only used as a means for gathering intel on clandestine criminal activeties. Something has to be done other than burying your head in the sand and thinking that the bad guys are not here in america and using the the loop holes in our laws and our ample freedoms against us.

Were'nt we trying to get away from an powermad  totalitarian named George? I guess history does repeat it's self. I think they knew dang well what they ment by "privacy" when they wrote the Constitution.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Ive always assumed since Iwas little that the gov listened in on my calls and read my emails.

But if we wish to know where the badguys are now head down to the local mosque.

Maybe you should look up a little period of our history between 1942-1945, where that same brand of absolutism was targeted at ANOTHER group of American citizens for no reason other than race.

Quite frankly, it's about as un-American an ideal as you can have.

OMG.   And how many innocent lives will be lost with this stupidity?    Read my post above, it applies here, too.

Really really sad.

On the bright side, I suggest you move to Korea (North) or Cuba.  You will fit right in and feel very comfortable.

Hey lazs,

It's a painting from book 7 of The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

Which edition did YOU read? The one The whack jobs blowing up buildings hand out, or the one that the millions of Muslims actually living in peace with people of other faiths use?

I've got some advice for you: The nice men wearing the white sheets and funny tall pointy white hats aren't the most reliable people to take their opinion from.

I'm starting to hear banjos...

Get your head out of the sand. Here are some direct quotes from the quoran. (the one all Muslims read.)

Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number. Allah does not guide the wrongdoers. Sura 5:51

When the sacred months have passed away, THEN SLAY THE IDOLATERS WHEREVER YOU FIND THEM, AND TAKE THEM CAPTIVES AND BESIEGE THEM AND LIE IN WAIT FOR THEM IN EVERY AMBUSH, then if they repent and keep up prayer [become believers] and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them (9:5)

ANNOUNCE PAINFUL PUNISHMENT TO THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE (9:3)

O Prophet! urge the believers to war; if there are twenty patient ones of you they shall overcome two hundred... (8:65)

Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve (8:55)

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah...And the Jews say Ezra is the son of God;  and the Christians say Christ is the son of God; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; Allah's curse be on them; how they are turned away!" (Koran 9:29-30)

And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah (8:39)

FIGHT THEM: ALLAH WILL PUNISH THEM BY YOUR HANDS AND BRING THEM TO DISGRACE, AND ASSIST YOU AGAINST THEM. (9:14)

FIGHT THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN ALLAH, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, NOR FOLLOW THE RELIGION OF TRUTH, OUT OF THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE BOOK [Christians and Jews], until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and THEY ARE IN A STATE OF SUBJECTION. (9:29)

There is more.
