They want someone who will help the poor, and improve the state of health care. (Democratic position)
At the same time, they want to put an end to abortion and ghey marriage (republican position)
I've never been able to put the catholic view on any political party. Interesting points tho. I think you'll find other religons out there that are more rigid in their political view than us.
